Rondo wants to be the best Celtics' Point Guard ever

Posted by BostonGlenn on September 3, 2012 at 10:20 AM

Recently, Rajon Rondo visited Philippines for the Red Bull King of the Rock. He conducted skills clinic for various young basketball players, giving insights and tips on how to play well on hard court. While in the Philippines, he attended a lot of interviews and here are some of his comments he had about making a mark for Celtics:

“It is kinda too early to place my mark on where I am in Celtic history as a point guard,” Rondo said in an interview with ABS-CBN News. “But hopefully, by the time I finish my career, I’d be the best to ever play for the Celtics.”

“It was kind of a great experience because I played in the University of Kentucky (in college), and they have a great history of basketball as well,” Rondo said.

“In five years, I’ll be 31 (years old). Hopefully, I have at least, and I say at least, two more championships, maybe one. You never know,” he said. “I expect to win every year I play.”

“We have the talent... The team we have, the talent that surround me, the coaching staff, the organization, we expect to win a championship every year,” Rondo said.

Rajon is expecting 2 more championship rings before he reaches 31 years old which I really hope and looking forward to. Giving a fresh new start this coming season, Rondo is now hungry to redeem the chances that they should had last season to win another title. I just hope Rondo won’t retire at the age of 31, so he can bring more Championship Banner to Boston.

Philippines is country where we love Boston Celtics so much and Manny Pacquiao is one of those avid fanatic of Boston Celtics. Well even though Eric Spoelstra (Miami Coach) is half Filipino but love for Boston Celtics still ranging here.

Hopefully, someday Boston Celtics will play here in the Philippines.

I love it that Rondo said at least two, not just two, but at least two.
