Celtics Beat Post New Entry

Celtics Morning Joe: Are they ready?

What do they say? Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice? You get the picture. When will this team get it together. When will they get a steak going. I think it needs to be now. Rondo's coming back, and I can't see a better time to get it going now. The elders had rest, and the team seems on the up side. Despite the disaster in Milwaukee.

"Overall, the last two games, I like where we're at," said Rivers. "But we've got to continue to do it. We've yet to be consistent, in my opinion. You can be consistent and lose a game, and I think Milwaukee was an example of that. I thought we played with the right spirit, but we just have to have that consistent effort."

I guess no lead is safe, and perhaps if Rondo played the Celtics would have beaten the Bucks. It was a back-to-back as well. If Rondo is ready to move on. I'll give it a shot. The Celtics have shown us amazing runs, and of course amazing losing streaks. The Celtics are an odd bunch. But they eventually show toughness, and desire to win. Rondo wanted 8-9 games in a row. Right now I'll take five to start.

"Well, I though the ball movement was better in some ways, but I don't know if it was smarter, necessarily," said Rivers. "You still want the ball in Rondo's hands. But I thought it allowed other guys to understand how important that is. And I think they saw that. There's always a positive in any negative, and you knew something good was going to happen. You knew more bad, not having him. But, overall, you can always get something out of it. When Kevin misses a game, Paul, you have to find something."

I think the Celtics need to build off of Green, and Lee. Those two guys seemed to step up big in Rondo's absence. They are key guys in the quest for banner 18, and maybe Rondo's two game banned will have a silver lining.

I wish Rondo hadn't pushed Kris out of bounds the way he did. He needs to learn when to stop. He said he didn't learn anything. Well he needs to learn that.

But he was right to take a stand. The Cs cannot continue to let other teams treat them like dirt. Play tough or don't play. KG being punked by Kris Humphries? IT'S UNHEARD OF!! Rondo saw the problem and reacted. This team was losing its basic self-respect. He did the right thing, except that he needs to learn to draw the line.

I think Rondo did learn something.
But he just wasn't telling it to the media.
Hopefully, everyone learned a lesson this time.

I think Rondo wouldn't have done that if it was the playoffs. I think he noticed he needed to do it at that moment, but he did go one step further.
