The Celtics in this era have been awful at closeout games, or even up 3-2. In 2009 the Celtics had the Magic right where they wanted them in game six, but the Magic rallied in the 4th to take the series back to Boston for game seven. The Magic beat the KG-less Celtics in-game seven. That same season, the Celtics were unable to closeout the Bulls in a ...

As much as I want the Celtics to defeat the Sixers tonight, I worry about it too. After last night's game, it looks like the Heat are on their way to the conference finals.
I'm not afraid of the Heat on a basketball level. I think we can beat them, even with our injury troubles, though watching the Sixers tear us apart with their fast break/athleticism, and watching the Heat do the same to the Pacers, makes me wonder, I admit. Where is our def...

I can’t live in darkness, and after 2008, the memories linger in my mind. So much stress, and anger in life, but it comes to an end when I close my eyes, and smell the air around me. Nothing in life gets me down, when I think of that hot June night in 2008. I’m fighting a battle with every day life...

Our life is filled with performance. You could be the best at what you do, or even the very worst. Who I'm I to judge? From the day we are born until the day we pass on. Everyday we give a new performance. So should we expect anything new from the Celtics Wednesday night? Can they finally close out a team when they need to. Well last seaosn they did to New York in the first ...

You could see in Ray Allen's face that he was in pain during a point in game five against the 76ers. You have to pause for a moment, and think of anything bad you've said about Ray. Allen has been up, and very down this post season. In-game 5's early going, Ray was being handled on the defensive end. Y...

During a dark dense quiet night on cloudy day's dim light. The 76ers saw the most horror, and frightened sight. The Garden was rocking, and the noise could cause your ear drums to pound faster than your heart. The old games, and the old battles are watched on TV now, but in the 80's the rivalry was alive. Today it's just a speck on wha...

I live in the middle of Lakers country, and I hear everyone. I hear the local sports guys, and I hate the fans down to my toes. Personal story coming. My lady is a Lakers fan, and in 2010 I was sleeping alone for a long time, and that was by choice. I couldn't stand the thought of sleeping with the enemy. I won't even have any close friends that are f...

For the past day or so. I've had issues with my site. As you may have notice, the font size of the titles have been off. Some other issues I have been having. One main issue has been the ads the stick on my site. I have been pleading with them to take them down. Not the Celtics ads of course, but the others that pop up. I have been also added to the Yardbarker family, but webs.com has been unable to assist me on that process.
I will be looking for another website to work wi...

Rest anytime is good for the Celtics. The injuries are a concern, and thankfully the Celtics know each other so well. They don't need to hit the practice floor every off day. Of course they still get some work in. They wouldn't be in this position without putting in the time. The Celtics were scheduled for an afternoon flight to Ph...

For two thirds of the game last night, one felt like one was attending the funeral of the Celtics 2012 season. Celtics fans huddled together everywhere, in the stands, in sportsbars, at home around the television, or radio, shivering, with long faces on the verge of tears. Then, suddenly, the clouds parted for a moment, and a ray of sunshine came through.
It st...

I don't think the Celtics get past the Heat without Bradley, and I wouldn't in a million years think that earlier in the season. But his defense is too good to see it washed away on the sea. It's a jewel that you keep locked away in a vault. Avery will play again, I hope. I think the Celtics have rolled the dice, and their waiting until the next round. Because by...

An overbearing silence loomed over the TD Garden for much of the first half. It Rested upon the Celtics body and soul. As we relax in arms, relieving the tension of the games stresses. Just calm stillness no more than that can chill your body during a heated playo...
