Question of the day: Will Rondo Have His Number Retired With The Celtics?

Posted by shawn cassidy on September 20, 2013 at 5:30 AM Comments comments (5)

This was a debate for awhile in Boston when it came to Paul Pierce. Some said before ,and during the 2008 season that Paul should have his number hanging from the raters someday, and some believed he needed a banner, and after the banner was delivered. It was a matter of when will it happen for Pierce.

Now the question is if Rondo is worthy of the h...

Question of the day: Which player stays from the Nets deal?

Posted by shawn cassidy on September 19, 2013 at 5:00 AM Comments comments (4)

This question is considering the long term. Which player do you believe remains with the Celtics for the long haul? Humprhies? His contract is up after this season, and he's made it clear that he wants to stay past his expiring deal. He's not 12 million good, but what about 5-6 million good? I'll have to see how he gels with Rondo and Stevens system b...

Question of the day: Are T-Mac and Iverson First Ballot Hall of Famers?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 27, 2013 at 6:00 AM Comments comments (3)

As all of you know by now. Iverson announced he's done with the NBA, and a few day's later Tracy Mcgrady has done the same. Iverson has a few scoring titles, and a MVP award to his name, and All-Star MVP honors.Iverson also reached the 2001 NBA Finals.I would say that's enough For Allen. As for T-Mac he won a few scoring titles like Iverson. He was an All-Star year after year. Tracy wa...

Question of the day: Who's the most over hyped team going into the 2013-14 season?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 24, 2013 at 5:25 AM Comments comments (4)

Which team in the mix to win it all next season is a bit over hyped? I think for the first time in a long time, that the field is wide open. The Heat are up against history, odds, and age. Their run last season reminded me of the Lakers third title during their three-peat in the early 2000's. The Lakers had an easy go in the Finals that season, but the Lak...

Question of the day: Should The Fans Boo Doc?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 9, 2013 at 5:15 AM Comments comments (6)

I don't hate Doc, he was the right coach for the right time. I think the debate and questions surrounding Doc's end will hurt his legacy a bit, maybe by the smallest fraction. Did he quit, and when did he quit? I thought there were a lot of signs that Doc quit on this team during last season. Maybe it's more of the fact that he was over this team, and where it was heading. I think wil...

Question of the day: Who should have won the 1976 MVP?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 5, 2013 at 6:00 AM Comments comments (3)

I know I'm reaching in the way back machine. But I remember talking to someone about this a couple of years ago. In 1976 the best center in the game at the time, I guess you could argue he wasn't that season, but in 1976 Kareem walked away with the MVP trophy on a 40-42 Lakers team that missed the playoffs.

The MVP voting finished with Bob McAdoo at 2nd, and Bo...

Question of the day: Should KG have won MVP in 2008?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 4, 2013 at 10:40 AM Comments comments (6)

We all know his resume, he changed the culture, and he was apart of the uprise of Celtic pride. He not only changed the culture of the Celtics, he helped lead them to the biggest regualr season turnaround in legaue history. The Celtics won an all-time best 42 more games than they did the year before. In 2007 the Celtics suffered through one of the worst years in team ...

Question of the day: Would Ray leave Miami to play for Doc?

Posted by shawn cassidy on June 25, 2013 at 5:30 AM Comments comments (3)

Dang, I realized right now. I may need to change the photo soon on my Question of the day posts. I need to do more of these also. So here's the question guys. Would the Clippers pursue Ray Allen like they have in the past to pair him with Doc? With Doc reportedly able to sign guys would he go after Ray? Wouldn't thi...

Question of the day: What's next for Lee?

Posted by shawn cassidy on April 30, 2013 at 6:30 AM Comments comments (6)

With Lee's recent benching in Boston. What will become of him moving forward. He's signed on in Boston for three more seasons after seasons end. He's making a solid 5 million per season. I'm not sure what really happened with Lee. Courtney has only played 3 out of 4 games, plus just 11 minutes per game. He's putting up an average of 2.0 points in this series.

Question of the day: Should the Celtics sit KG and Paul in the final two games?

Posted by shawn cassidy on April 14, 2013 at 6:20 AM Comments comments (4)

The Celtics secured the 7th seed when they destroyed the Magic 120-88. KG and Pierce were great in limited time. The Celtics have nothing to play for when it comes to playoff seeding. But they need to build chemistry. I personally believe that KG and Pierce rested enough, but I also think they should sit out the Toronto game in...

Question of the day: Should Jeff Green start over Bass?

Posted by shawn cassidy on February 23, 2013 at 7:00 AM Comments comments (4)

Brandon Bass is an undersized power forward. Jeff Green is technically an inch taller than Bass, but I suppose Bass has Green in the weight department. But when it comes down to a few factors. I think Doc should test out Green in the starting unit. First of all with two new guys on the Celtics roster. The C's have plenty of fire power off the bench. Williams, and Jordan can score the ...

Question of the day: Should the Celtics look into West if Barbosa is done?

Posted by shawn cassidy on February 12, 2013 at 2:35 PM Comments comments (3)

I hate the fact that we even have to start this discussion. For me Barbosa is better than Delonte West. At least now in their respected careers. Barbosa is an instant scorer, and his defense has proven to be better than advertised. As for West he continues to battle with depression, and other mental illnesses. I lost respect for him when he was crying about a job when the NBA was going through th...

Question of the day: Should Doc sit KG, and Pierce against Bobcats?

Posted by shawn cassidy on February 11, 2013 at 5:15 AM Comments comments (5)

Celtics captain Paul Pierce played 54 minutes, 11 seconds during Sunday's triple-overtime win  over the Nuggets. That's just three seconds short of his career high . Kevin Garnett logged 47:03, and that's a number that we never see from KG. With the Celtics heading to Charlotte for a second game of a back-to-back. Should Doc roll the dice, and rest both players? The Bobcats shouldn't be take...

Question of the day: What do you make of Rondo getting a second opinion?

Posted by shawn cassidy on February 1, 2013 at 2:45 PM Comments comments (2)

“He (Dr. Andrews) is one that we’re definitely considering,” Rondo’s agent Bill Duffy, told CSNNE.com. “If he’s No. 1, there’s a couple 1As and 1Bs we’re looking at as well.”

Duffy said the second opinion on Rondo’s knee will not be made...

Question of the day: Do the Celtics miss Ray Allen?

Posted by shawn cassidy on January 24, 2013 at 6:35 AM Comments comments (3)

The question has surfaced, and it doesn't surprise me that it has. The Celtics are 20-21, and the chemistry is off.  Here are some quotes from some guys who know a thing or two about the Celtics.

Question of the day: Should Pierce come off the bench?

Posted by shawn cassidy on January 23, 2013 at 7:00 AM Comments comments (4)

The Celtics have been down this road before. Last season Bradley came in, and took Ray's job. It's what the Celtics needed, and it was the best thing for the Celtics. We know how that worked for the Celtics. Ray was bitter, and he went to Miami. This season Pierce has slowly gotten worse. The only difference about swapping Green for Pierce like last season's Bradley for Ray? Gree...

Question of the day: Will the Lakers make the playoffs?

Posted by shawn cassidy on January 22, 2013 at 6:05 AM Comments comments (4)

With the Celtics under performing these days. I find it hard to brag about the Celtics playing better than the Lakers. But despite the Celtics being 20-20 at the 8th seed in the East. The Lakers are 17-24 at number 12 in the West. The Lakers have lost three in a row again, and they're lucky the Rockets, and Blazers have been playing very poor....

I actually agree with Doc on this. I like the idea of having the season start on Christmas day. Hers is what Doc had to say about it.

Question of the day: Should Terry start?

Posted by shawn cassidy on December 21, 2012 at 11:15 AM Comments comments (2)

Terry has been in, and out of the starting lineup. Terry has been good this season. So it's not because of his play. The biggest reason for all the changes has been because of Doc playing with the lineup. Terry, who hasn't been given  any real chance to settle into his role here in Boston while starting 17 of 25 games. He rece...
