It's hard to know what to say about this game. For the second night in a row, we had a good chance to beat a good team. That's good news. In fact, if you could put the Celtics' second half from last night together with our first half tonight, that would be a heckuva game. Beyond that, there are just the usual things to say about tonight's game, I guess. We got destroyed on the glass, worse than the final numbers show, I'd say. That was to be expected. We wore down on the second half of a back to back and just couldn't match the Bulls' defensive intensity. That was to be expected. On offense we seemed to go back to relying heavily on Js, and on a slowed down offense after the first quarter, which bogged down completely for long periods of time. Allen came in as sixth man tonight, and that seemed to work well, but Bradley seemed out of sorts back in the starting unit. Pierce was our best player by far tonight, but even he faded down the stretch, while Deng came on. Garnett did his best on the boards (14), but like almost everyone else, didn't shoot well. Rondo seemed unaggressive on offense, and weak on defense, though he got his 12 assists. Considering that no one but Pierce ever really seemed to be into this game, it's amazing we came as close as we did.
We don't look as much like contenders as we did Sunday night.
