Loving the Celtics, and the NBA could be over kill for some people. It's something that gives me life, the game of basketball. I played when I was a kid, and a teen,but I wasn't blessed with being tall. I have family in Boston,and strong Irish roots. I was born, and raised in Canton, Ohio. You may know Canton for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I grew up around football, and it was life in Ohio. But my love for the Celtics came easy. I was turned on to the Celtics early on in my life, and I was never the same. I missed out on the Cowens years, and pretty much all of the Bird years. I was a hardcore fan during the lean years in Celtics history. Finally some life in 2002 brought the Celtics back to life, and a possible title contender for a short time. The Celtics became title favorites in 2007 when the Celtics traded for KG, and Ray.

I never thought I would write about basketball, and the Celtics. But after finding Celtics Blog of SB nation. I had an itch. I started to post Fanposts on the site, and my passion grew. I'm no great writer, but I still believe in time I will find my stlye. The site has a small following, and I can't complain. This April is the first year anniversary.

I moved to California in 2002,and thank god I don't live in the heart of Laker country,but I still live around Laker fans. I go around wearing my Celtics gear with great pride, and I give the proper dirty looks at  Laker fans. I can tell you this Celtics fans are for real, and just like the nickname. The Laker fans are fakers to. The bad part is my long time girl friend is a Lakers fan. It's been tough for the past four seasons.
