The Celtics didn't make this easy, they had an 18 point lead late in the third quarter, and they entered the 4th up 16. The Celtics held off Toronto in the end, 88-83. This was a big game for Sully, he ended with a career high 20 rebounds, and he also finished with 20 points. This was the first 20-20 game since Garnett did it in his first game as a Celtic in 2007.
The Celtics wanted this game badly, they showed it by grabbing a season-high 58 rebounds, out rebounding the Raptors by 14. Bradley scored 20 points on 8-of-21 shooting to go along with five rebounds, while Green added 13 points. Pressey was scoreless in his first career start, but he did a fine job running this team. Pressey had 10 assists, and he got the win in his first start. Both teams shot the ball poorly tonight, the Celtics ended with 34% from the field, and that's not a total that you normally win with. The Celtics also did an excellent job with just 9 turnovers.
The streak is over, and Rondo is set to return. Things feel different, after the trade, and with the return of Rondo. The Celtics will face the Lakers at the Garden, and with Rondo's return, it adds a nice spin to this game. We always want to beat LA, but with Rondo on the court in his first game. A win would feel so good.
