Pierce playing within the team, and he scores big

A quote by Doc tells the story on how I feel about Pierce, and the offense.
"I don't mind Paul shooting it," Rivers explained, "but I don't want him dancing too much with the ball. I thought that's what he did in the fourth quarter."
Pierce started off the third quarter perfect. He had 7 points in a row, and he hit another three soon after to bring his third quarter total to 10 points in a couple of minutes. But my biggest fears of Pierce came out. He can get hot, but in turn he can dance with the ball, and hold it way to much. Pierce scored those ten points off of defense, and team execution on the offensive end.
Pierce had a solid final frame, but he had his moments as Doc said. He had the ball in his hands more than he should have in the 4th. Not in the sense that the Celtics shouldn't look for him, but that he became a player that wasn't going to pass the ball.
Pierce loves to go for the dagger basket, and sometimes that leads him into that isolation play,or dancing with the ball that can decapitate the life out of Boston's offensive game.
He nearly cost the Celtics in the final three minutes, when, his team up 10, he caught the ball on the right wing and launched a 3-pointer just five seconds into the possession.
But the shot bounced away, and that miss was quickly converted into a Kevin Durant 3-pointer on the other end. That happen to much around here. Doc disliked as well.
"I didn't mind that he took the shot so much," Rivers said. "It was just too far out."
He made a few of those long daggers, but you just can't continue that. That's a selfish play we don't need. Paul is a players that I love because he's underrated in this league. He's bailed the Celtics out many times already in this short season. But make no mistake about it. This is Rondo's team, and the Celtics are at their best when Rondo gets Pierce the ball. And Rondo got him the ball for three quarters. Their was no need for that kind of ball by Pierce. He needs to let the ball come to him.
