Celtics Title Town

Doc decided to rest KG, Pierce, and Bass. Without the trio Jeff Green came through with his best game ever as a Celtic. Green put up 25 points, and he nailed 3 bombs from three-point land. He made 10-of-16 from the field. Green was outstanding, and a revelation Saturday night. Along side Green's stellar performance the other 6th man on the Celtics Terry put in 22 points, and he nailed four three's.

The Celtics trailed by as many as 20  in the second quarter, but they chipped away from there and ended the first half on a 24-9 run, trailing by only five heading into the break. The Celtics turned up the defense, and they ended the game with 12 steals, and they forced 18 turnovers. The Celtics had another high turnover game with 20. Rondo had a team high 6. Rondo finished the game with 11 assists, and 13 points. Rondo shot very well from the foul line, he was 5-of-7.

The Celtics out rebounded the Knicks 39-33, and Sully had the team high of 8. Good showing by the role players in this game. It's a good sign that we can rest KG, and Pierce against weaker teams. I say weak teams because Melo, and Stoudamire didn't suit up. Good win anyway.
