Green learning to fly
|

Green seemed like a snowflake falling on water Brighter days, and newer visions. Freeing Green from the clutches of our memories of bad turnovers, and timid shots. Green seems like he's on top of the cliff ,and he lands on his feet.
He can see the world in a more beautiful way. Fresh, invigorating. and pulsating. Everybody's looking for that something. That one thing that makes it all complete. You'll find it in the strangest place. Places you never knew it could be. We have an entire season to endure. But Green has wings, and those wings have learned to fly.
Green had an entire year to dig deep. He had time to look deep into his soul. Green was dealing with bigger issues than basketball. And maybe that set him free. He seems at peace, and he feels very fortunate to play basketball.
This preseason dunk by Green is more than a dunk to me. It's hope, and it's a dream. It's a future worth living for. That dunk rocked the crowd in Harford Saturday night, but it was another message sent to the league, and it was another look at the man.
