If your a Rondo fan, it's great seeing Rondo being a human. Rondo had some poor character moments during the season, and mainly during the playoffs. For those who stuck with Rondo. It's validating watching this video. We get to see Rondo being a charismatic guy. This summer has been amazing compared to last seasons lockout train wreck. Rondo has an authenticity that so few have.

I think it's clearer and clearer that Rondo is at a different level.

I'm not a blind worshipper of the guy. I think his ego takes over a lot. He can be petty and mean. I think his promotional relationship with Red Bull is ethically dubious. From what I understand, Red Bull isn't good for you. I think Rondo's promotional relationship with Obama is downright evil. In this day and age, I don't see how anyone fails to see that the political establishment is hopelessly corrupt. Like I said, I don't worship the guy. His critics are right that his play has often been seriously inconsistent, especially on the defensive end. Sometimes his defense has been downright awful.

All that said, I think Rondo is very special. He has talent that is like a light in the darkness, and he has a level of authenticity that is rare. He seems determined to carve his own path, and he has the talent to do it. Few seem to have either of those qualities, let alone both. I love this video. I love Rondo's understated comedy. He has a subtlety that is very very rare in comedy. He has a very special gift for it. Look at the scene where he struggles to get through the door, because he's loaded down with coffee and bags. The wheeled tote is the best part. It's so unnecessary, yet the reality of life is that you rarely see a big shot without their damned wheeled tote! That level of physical comedy is beyond what any comedian I know of today can do.

The problem that we'll see growing with Rondo after this season is that he'll soon realize that you can't be both authentic and in bed with the corporate giants. But right now he's living that sweet dream where he thinks he can have his cake and eat it too. He'll wake up all too soon to the reality that if you want to be an authentic person in this world, you have to have an incredible level of personal courage. You have to be willing to lose it all. For now, it's a beautiful and inspiring dream that a person can make it all the way to the top on true talent.

True talent. There is nothing more beautiful in life.
