Jeff Green deal worth $36M

It's not 40 million, and that's some good news. I hope the contract has a player option, just in case he doesn't work out. Ainge really has high hopes for Green, and with Ray gone, and with Green getting a full training camp with the Celtics. I think Green can turn into a good player, that has a chance to be an all-star. I don't think he will be an all-star, but I think the potential is there.

Green light for Green

Agent David Falk, who said Friday an agreement with the Celtics on Jeff Green’s contract should come early this week, clearly is pleased with how talks have progressed. Green agreed to a one-year, $9 million contract with the team last December, but the discovery of an aortic aneurism during a physical voided the contract.

Falk returned to the same starting point this month and got his wish.

The new deal, again starting at $9 million, will be worth $36 million over four years, according to a source. . . .

I am excited to see Green play. He is fast, so will run with Rondo well. Unselfish (maybe a bit too much). He can consistently hit from the 3. Glad he is back.
