(West postgame interview)
I think most of us love David West right now. He hit a big jumper, and he forced James into a bad pass with the game on the line with the Pacers haning onto a 95-93 lead.
Hibbert scored 29 points and he was a monster all night long, West knocked away two passes by James for huge turnovers in the final minute to show his impact without scoring a lot of points, and the Pacers evened the East Finals with a 97-93 victory over the Heat in Game 2. Paul George scored 22 points with big plays all night, George Hill added 18 and West finished with 13 for the Pacers, who handed the Heat just their fourth loss in their last 50 games.
James scored 36 points for the Heat, who got 17 points from Bosh and 14 from Wade. The Heat led 88-84 in the fourth quarter, then were outscored 13-5 the rest of the way. I had to take step back after the Heat went up four. I thought the game was over, but thankfully that wasn't the case.
The refs were inconsistent as usual. Three tech's in the first half called against the Pacers, and they didn't make sense. I hope I can find the clips to post later.
