Doc recap so far today

Posted by shawn cassidy on June 17, 2013 at 7:30 PM

Well if you haven't been looking around the web today you have missed a show. Doc Rivers is almost on the west coast if he already is not. The trigger man of this era was Danny? He is by force. It's Doc's asking for the murder suicide by the hands of Danny. So what's going on up to this point?

Hearing Clips already prepping for intro press conference for at least Doc & KG. Hard to see deal not being done soon.

Doc can't wait to see Chris Paul's face. So what about Pierce?

To be clear: Paul Pierce is NOT part of this trade. But leaguewide expectation is he will end up with Clips in July if Clips get Doc and KG

So what's the latest on the actual deal? Here's ESPN Boston's take or source on the deal.

The Celtics and Clippers have relaunched discussions on a new trade framework that could bring a resolution to the complicated talks regarding coach Doc Rivers and star forward Kevin Garnett potentially going to Los Angeles in a multiplayer deal, according to sources close to the process.

With the Clippers adamant that prized young guard Eric Bledsoe will not be included in the trade for Garnett, sources told ESPN.com one proposed tweak to end the weekend stalemate in the talks is the prospect of the Clippers taking back the contract of either Courtney Lee or Jason Terry from the Celtics.

Shedding the long-term money owed to either Lee or Terry, sources said, could convince the Celtics to relent on their demand that Bledsoe be included in the trade. A deal could be completed later Monday or by Tuesday, sources said.

The backlash of all of this will be a show indeed. Who will say what? I could give a crap about Doc. I'm hurt by the thought of KG and Pierce out of Boston. The deal has a plus, maybe. The deal sucks. Not great by any means. But for Danny it appears that he'll cap space to either or trade or sign some free agents this summer. Will have to stay tuned I guess.
