Celtics Morning Joe: How do the coaches feel about the lockout?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 4, 2011 at 4:05 AM

How do the coaches feel about this  lockout? What sides are they on? Honestly you know they want this over more than most fans. They want to work, and they want to coach the best game in the world. A good portion of coaches played in the NBA. Including Doc Rivers. Do you think most coaches lean towards the players sides? The owners have fired coaches at a rapid pace in the past couple of seasons, and you know their could be some desire to see the players win. You know coaches are worried their players could come back out of shape or over weight.

I know it will drive the coaches crazy waiting, and hoping with the rest of us. Their playbook's will collect dust, and maybe some coaches will think of some more plays. How about some rule changes during the lockout? I think the coaches should get together, and talk about certain rules in the NBA guide-book. I want to see coaches come out,and say something about the lockout. I'm curious about their thoughts.

No doubt about that, I'm curious too. Doc Rivers' probably thinking if Kevin Garnett or Ray Allen will retire after the 2011-2012 season probably ending Boston's championship runs, or maybe making some changes in the starting lineup because Pierce, Garnett & Allen will be one year older.

I think that Rivers is a company man and will sing the company line.
