For those of us on the west coast, a 10am start is too early. Anyways, the Celtics came out firing out scoring the Wizards 30-14 in the first quarter. After that stellar first quarter on the defensive end, the Celtics gave up 30 plus points in the last three quarters. The Celtics lose this early Saturday meeting with the Wizards, 106-99. The Celtics back-to-back games against two middle of the road teams in the East, at home. That's not ideal for a team with playoff hopes. The Celtics could have won both games, and you take the good things from this one, and you work on the bad from this game.

Avery Bradley scored  26 points, putting on a mid-range show while shooting 12-of-18 from the floor overall in a team-high 38 minutes, but couldn't fend off the Wizards. Jared Sullinger (22 points, 11 rebounds) and Brandon Bass (11 points, 11 rebounds)  Jordan Crawford had 11 points, 8 assists, and 3 rebounds. The Celtics will play again Monday against the Pacers, in their gym.

  • Celtics only had 12 turnovers.
  • Celtics lost the glass 47-40.
  • Celtics scored 42 points in the paint.
  • Both teams scored 16 points off of turnovers.

Just read some interesting post game quotes from Courtney Lee, questioning Brad Steven's rotations. Frustration with playing time is understandable. However, I am not feeling Mr. Lee's comments at all. I think his comments are less than helpful on so many levels
