The first month of the league is about finished and after an eventful one, the Celtics are exactly where i projected them to be without Rondo. I stated on my first post they'd be 6-10, in playoff contention. After a long offseason of the most self depricating skeptical talk about tanking, the players played and proved on the court what few of us realized on paper about this team, that the KG Pierce trade made us better. The moneyball analytic method of dealing with the personnel has faired well, with Jeff Green and Brandon Bass replacing KG and the Truth's stats so far this year and then some.
With Rondo's progress in his rehab encouraging his teammates while hes out, the team has definitely responded well to his leadership off the court. His experience has proven to be a saving grace, with reports that after a huge west coast losing streak, it was Rondos attempts to keep the team together that led to better effort after the Pacers loss at home and their current two game winning streak. With anticipation growing around his return date, the team has definitely raised their play for the Rondo arrival. Like expected, if this is a playoff team without Rondo and leading the league in turnovers, it will definitely be a eastern conference contender with him in the lineup and Derrick Rose out for the season in Chicago. God Bless
