Recap: Celtics fall apart in third, drop their 6th in a row 97-82

Posted by shawn cassidy on November 22, 2013 at 9:45 PM

The Celtics had a 50-42 lead at halftime, and every thing look good despite Olynyk leaving the game with a sprained ankle. Jordan Crawford was 9-9 at the half with 19 points, and everything seemed great. The Celtics had the best defensive team on notice for the first 24 minutes. Once the 3rd quarter started the Pacers put on the defensive clamps holding the Celtics to 8 points in the third frame.

The Celtics couln't get back into the game in the 4th quarter once the Pacers woke up in the second half. Paul George had a rough start but he finished with 27 points in the Pacers 97-82 win in Boston. Jeff Green played well against George for most of the game. Jeff scored 20 points off 8-of-13 shooting. Crawford finished up with 24 points after his 19 point first half. The Celtics couldn't take care of the ball against the Pacers. They turned the ball over 21 times and you can give credit to the Pacers defense on that.

The Celtics are losers over their last 6 and they'll head to Atlanta Saturday night looking to end the skid.

The damn third quarter. The Celtics effort was there. Another solid game for 3 quarters.

The Pacers are the best team by far right now. The Spurs are there, but this Pacer team has an extra gear. If they don't win it all I would be shocked.

I felt like once olynyk left the game late in the 2nd qtr everything went bad from there. He was bringing hibbert away from the hoop and providing easy lanes to the hoop. Once again a solid night from sullinger he was battling with west and hibbert at times and crawford's 1st half was unreal. But once again we ended up losing we desperately need a win
