The Celtics fell into a hole early, when they climbed out of a 22-9 start in the first quarter. The Celtics chipped the lead awaY, and by the second quarter the Celtics grabbed the lead behind Olynyk's 9 points in the second quarter, and Vitor's inside and out game in the frame. Cedric Maxwell called it "soup". The Celtics couldn't hang on in this one, and they dropped their second game to Toronto in preseason play. The Celtics went on a 11-0 run to cut the lead to 95-92 with .53 seconds to go in the 4th quarter. Brad Stevens elected to foul the Raptors at the .33 second mark, after the Raptors made both freebies, Brooks came down and nailed another three.
The Celtics fouled on the next play and the Raptors had a lead of 99-95, after that Stevens set up a nice pick-and-roll betwenn Craword and Sully. With the Celtics down 99-97, the Raptors broke free, and they missed the dunk with 8 seconds to go. Crawford got the three up, and Sully missed the wide open put back with time expiring. Wild finish.
Jeff Green showed up tonight in 30 minutes of action. He had a solid 13 points behind 5-of-13 shooting. Olynyk tied Green with 13 points, and Brooks lead the Celtics with 17 points, and he continues to impress me, over the likes of Lee and Crawford. Brooks scored 15 of his 17 in the 4th.Vitor had another steady game with 13 points and 4 rebounds.
