A leader is needed to guide in many ways. Nobody pictured Rondo's leadership role to be on the sideline with a surgically repaired right knee healing from an ACL tear. Reality can still be something that we don't want when we think of Rondo and the lost season. To ease our problems and to enlighten our days. Rondo may have let go of his introverted ways to become an extroverted leader who will lead the way out of darkness into a brighter and promising day that looks unreal at the moment.
The Celtics chances are slim, and we know that, but the backbone of this team isn't who we think it is anymore. On the court we know KG holds this thing together. But the brains, and youth behind this team is still Rondo. He's coming around when his team needs him the most. Rondo's lost season isn't so lost if he can build off his misfortune. He can learn how to coach, and he can pay more attention to his teammates. A path has been drawn for his leadership. He'll be needed alongside Doc, and the coaches for a fighting chance.
"Rajon Rondo attended Celtics practice Thursday, and Doc Rivers believes his presence during the playoffs will be beneficial to those on the court."
"On Thursday's SportsNet Central, Rivers discussed how Rondo will be able to help."
