Kevin Garnett finished with 17 points, and 8 rebounds in 35 minutes. KG loves this gritty team, and these guys have guts. I think KG's passion is contagious like a flu. It infects everyone, their is no other way to put it. KG was off a bit in the 4th, and in overtime missing some easy point blank baskets. But that can be forgiven because he brings it so hard each night on the defensive end. I don't know about you guys. I savor each win, and every great game. We don't have much time with KG, and Pierce. We need to soak in what we can.
“We’re working hard. We never gave in to the (expletive) critics,” Kevin Garnett said after last night’s 107-102 overtime win over Atlanta. “We’re working hard and showing our character. We’re a grinding team. We’re leaning on each other, playing together. are doing right now is off the charts.
“We’re not perfect. We’re playing an NBA team; we’re not playing high school or middle school teams,” he said. “The other teams have great talent and are well-coached. Philly plays very well at home, and we grind it out. Indiana plays really well at home, and we grind that out. At home we played a really, really good Atlanta team. You have to give other teams credit too. They’re good.”
One other thing I'll miss it KG's great comments during post game interviews. His passion trickles into what he's saying after a win, or loss. He has no filter, and it's like his game on the court. He speaks the truth, and it's great listening to what KG feels after every contest. Kevin still believes this team will win a title this season despite what they face, and what's ahead.
