The Celtics currently have their longest winning streak of the season at four wins. As you all know the Celtics had a rough up, and down start this season. Starting 14-17 before the four game winning streak. The Celtics hit rock bottom on a west coast trip to California. I had feelings of writing them off, but when you see this four game winning streak. Feelings change, and with this era of Celtics basketball. Nothing is predictable. Courtney was asked about the state of the Celtics, and he served this up.
"We’ve got to get them all, and then go on the road and carry this momentum on. We’re trying to start a 20-plus game winning streak. That’s what we’re trying to do."
"We definitely appreciate each one," added Lee. "We started off slow, and we were a better team than that. It took a couple practices of [coach] Doc [Rivers] getting on us and us talking to each on the plane and whatnot to realize that we need to get out here and turn it up. And now that we’re on a four-game winning streak, we don’t want to look back. We want to keep that going forward."
The Celtics are making way in the standings. With the Hawks on a current slide losing four in a row, and with other teams in turmoil. The Celtics are just three games back of the third seed in the East. The Celtics still remain about 6 games back of the Knicks. The Celtics probably won't win 20 in a row, but they should try. This is the time to put some wins together. The Celtics play five teams under .500 this month, and they play three of those teams at home. Towards the end of the month the Celtics have two big home games. They'll see the Knicks, and Heat.
All I can say is this. Let's keep it up C's.
