Recap: C's avenge loss to the Bucks 96-92

Jeff Green also earned some redemption in the win Saturday night. He had the key defensive stop in the final 25 seconds. Green also scored 12 points, and he was aggressive in the final frame. Green made some key shots, and free throws in the 4th quarter. The Celtics finally showed life against the Bucks. They held the Bucks to 39%, and they only scored 92 points. The Celtics also held the Bucks to 15% shooting from three-point land. The Celtics contained Jennings to 1-of-11 shooting. But instead of Brandon going off. Monta Ellis picked up the slack with 32 points.

During the 4th quarter Paul Pierce (25 points), and Ellis dueled for a stretch of shots. The Bucks had a four point lead heading into the 4th, and the Celtics put on the clamps. KG had 18 points, and just 6 rebounds, but his activity on defense was amazing once again.

Rajon Rondo had another double-double, completing his night with 10 points and 10 assists. He barley held on to his double-digit assist streak. He picked up his 10th assist with 1:03 to go in the game. The Celtics were out rebounded 44-40 in the game. And the Celtics allowed 48 points in the paint. The Celtics also gave up 20 points in the paint in the 1st, and the Bucks only scored 22 points.

Rivers changed  up the  starting lineup once again, inserting Brandon Bass and Jason Terry in place of Jared Sullinger and Courtney Lee. Terry played very well with starting unit. He was 5-of-7 from the field for 15 points. That's exactly what we need every night. Jason seems to be on track now after the slow start.

Overall I was pleased with this win. Rondo held Jennings in check, and the Celtics are now 2-0 on the second night of a back-to-back. On the road no less. The Celtics as you know struggle on back-to-backs. It seems like a good sign as well.

Mr. Green played well, and the Celtics held on to a close game. Nice win! The defense was back as well.

I love how they came out after the half with only 4 turnovers versus the first. Excellent ball control. And I am happy Jeff Green willed his way to aggressively effect the outcome of the fourth quarter. We are getting there. As long as we keep progressing, we should end up where we want to be.

Good signs tonight. Still have plenty of work. But Green had some great moves tonight.
