The Good, the Bad,and the Ugly: Game 2 Bucks @ Celtics

The Good
Jeff Green was solid with 11 points Friday night against Milwaukee. He was only 1-of-4 from three-point land, but that aggressive mindset was apparent Friday. I felt like Doc should have showcase Jeff a bit more after the Celtics fell in deep. One of the few good things from the Bucks game was Green finding a piece of what he was before the Miami game.
I felt that Sully improved drastically from his first NBA game. The game was less intense, and I felt that Sully took advantage of that. He scored 6 solid points, and grabbed 7 rebounds which is pretty solid. Sully hopefully continues to play, and I hope to see his improvements.
The Celtics showed some improvements on the defensive side of the floor. They forced 18 turnovers, but they couldn't score off of those turnovers.
The Bad
The Celtics barley put up 30 first-half points while shooting 27.3 percent from the floor. The Celtics missed some jumpers they normally make. But the forced jumpers, and that needs to stop. The lack of ball movement wasn't there, but the flow was off. It was to much passing at times. The C's had 22 assists off of 18 turnovers.
Pierce picked up two early fouls, and the Celtics offense never recovered. The Celtics need Pierce, and maybe they use him as a crotch more then they should. Pierce scored 11 points, and he shot 3-of-11 for the game in 28 minutes played. Pierce needs to come out stronger just like KG, and Rondo.
The Ugly
The Celtics old rebounding has shown up again. The Celtics lost the glass 46-36, and that's a major step back. Sully had 7 rebounds, and he had 3 offensive boards. I was upset a bit that KG only had 4 rebounds. I wanted more from him.
The Celtics gave up 52 points in the paint Friday night . It was way to easy for the Bucks Friday. The Celtics couldn't adjust quickly enough. The Celtics have a ton of big men depth. But maybe the Celtics need a defensive minded center. A Perk type. The Celtics are adequate up front, but do they have that one leader that can deliver on the defensive end nightly.

But the single thing I found most unsettling last night was the over-reliance on Js. My God, when will this team learn? Even when we had Allen, the single best shooter in the game, it was a crazy/lazy way to run an offense. Now it's plumb loco. Against the Heat, even when guys were basically double-teaming Rondo out on the perimeter we couldn't shake free near the basket, mainly because we really didn't try. We just passed the ball around the perimeter. This team isn't even fast-breaking, and it was built to fast-break! We have arguably the best center in the game today, only he really doesn't like the paint very much. We have arguably the best penetrate-and-kick point guard in the game, only he doesn't like to do it that much.
Our basic problem isn't all the new players. OUR BASIC PROBLEM IS ALL THE BAD HABITS WE BUILT UP IN THE BIG THREE ERA.
