Celtics Morning Joe: Bass cracks the top 100 @ 97

ESPN TOP 500

Bass is on the rise, and it's great to see such a nice guy that seems to work very hard to get his due. He's jumped up by over 40 from last seasons rankings. Let's see if you can get that rebound total to around 8 boards a game. I can't forget Brandon's first half in-game seven against Miami. He helped the Celtics stage a large lead in the first half. Of course he wasn't able to sustain his first half performance, and actually none of the Celtics did in the second half.

Bass was the big steal last season, and with a new contract with the Celtics. He needs to prove that he's worth hie deal. Bass spoke about winning titles in June.

Bass speaks about Jordan and titles

Growing up in Baton Rouge, Celtics power forward Brandon Bass wanted to be, ' "like Mike.' Bass and his parents watched Michael Jordan and the Bulls amass six NBA titles on Chicago-based WGN-TV "cable station. Bass couldn't afford a pair of Nike Air Jordan sneakers and could never find a Jordan Upper Deck card, so he settled for collecting his posters and patterning his game after the first-ballot Hall of Fame guard.

Bass wants it, and now he needs to go out there, and show that he wants a championship. Winning a title in Boston is like no other thing.

I think he needs to start passing more. The days of No Pass Bass need to end. This team will thrive on passing.

Especially this season, the team is way to deep. He needs to score through double teams, and inside on the offensive glass.

And there are so many other scorers that he needs to be willing and able to pass.
