Question of the day: Is KG's offense a must for the Celtics to win a championship?

I love when Garnett is out there scoring. Taking his opposing defender to task. I personally believe the Celtics are at their best when KG scores more than 20 points. He has the offensive chops, and his free throw shooting is just spot on this season. His free throw percentage this season .857% was his second best percent  of his long, and winding road of a career. With KG shooting like a freak from the foul line. I would love KG in the paint, and taking it to the Hawks, and to everyone down the road.  His jump shot is just fun too watch, and I don't say that about many. I believe his offense is a must for the Celtics to be a title team what do you think?

Garnett suffocating without space provided by Rono, Allen - The Boston Globe

"We’ve got to establish him more,’’ Rivers said of Garnett. "We’ve got to get bodies off him. They’re putting bodies on him, knocking him around, and we’ve got to do a better job as a staff, we’ve got to get bodies off of him and give him some room. "Our spacing is horrendous. Clearly, without Ray, they’re using both guards to just sit in the paint. And we have to do a better job of creating space. It’s tough when you have two guards they’re just not guarding. And that makes the difference for Kevin.’’

For sure Shawn. KG was a scoring force in the 2008 season. He can't get their, but that doesn't mean he can't muster up points in other ways. The way Garnett scored the ball in game two was smart, but not sexy at all.

Sexy, Okay Franklin, it wasn't. He needs to score without question. He needs to without Ray in the line-up.

God yes, we need KG's scoring.

We really just need to move with and without the ball, and keep the ball moving till we find a good shot. And we can't start the offense too late in the shot clock. We need some time to move the ball around, but not aimlessly, which is what happens when we stop attacking the basket. That's the thing, we just have to attack the basket.

Count on Rondo to get this task done. Explode to the paint and easy pass to a wide open KG jumper.

2 points!
