Teams calling about Pierce

Weei, and other sources have said teams called about getting Pierce. A really doubt that a trade would happen. It's just the price you pay when you have a bad record.

Celtics Blog has a front page story about how everything depends on Pierce. What is so creepy about it is that this reflects the attitude of the team and nearly the entire fandom, as far as I can tell. People would much rather see Rondo's wings clipped year after year than ever begin to acknowledge that it's not still 2008.
But at this point, if no one on the team is willing to make even the slightest effort to change the team's offensive approach, then I think it really is time for a trade. Another writer at Celtics Blog urges trading Rondo for Steve Nash. I am actually all for this idea. I think Nash could revitalize the Celtics' half court game. Nash could be a perfect fit. And this trade would give Rondo a chance to restart his career elsewhere.
It's not that I want to see such a trade. And I don't agree with most of the writer's comments. I think Rondo is a superstar level talent. But I also don't want to see his career destroyed with the Celtics, and that is I think precisely what is happening.
Trading Pierce would be just such a bad idea. Pierce needs to retire as a Celtic no matter what. Tradition must mean something. It's just too bad for us that he seems to be such a selfish *****.

I want Rondo too. But the team doesn't seem to want him.
