Doc after the game

The offense needs to be changed. Every team we play knows exactly what we run. Yes the Celtics force a lot of their passes, but the defense knows the next pass, and they get the Celtics to turn the ball over. Is this the bottom for the Celtics like a junkie on the street corner, or a 900 pound man stuck inside his bed? Something needs to change, and it's starting to get real. What worked in 2008 worked then. What worked in 2010 worked then. Now we have a new bench, and we have aged super stars. We have an all-star point guard who can do everything. All I hear is that this is Rondo's team. Actions speak louder than words. This isn't Rondo's team. It's Paul's team.

Last night I could see a change, but it wasn't enough. The team still tried to get KG, and Pierce going too much. Rondo did miss some easy baskets, but it wasn't the reason the Celtics lost. A change in the offensive  strategy must come, or the Celtics will continue to fall.

Jeez, I love your writing, Shawn. The comparison to the junkie or the 500 lb person stuck in their bed is so telling. Yes, there is a kind of claustrophobia setting in. Perhaps it is more like a dysfunctional family that never leaves the house, where all the groceries are dropped off at the door, and they just sit around having the same arguments over and over again. The neighbors know the arguments word by word at this point, because they've heard them through the walls over and over. Momma complains that Daddy doesn't put the toilet seat down. Daddy complains that the hamburger is cooked wrong. Jr. complains that he has no friends. The dog whines to be let out.

It's a twilight zone episode.

A change needs to come! This team is predictable. Its easy to scout this team.
