Back story
The Celtics have lost the last 5 out of 6 games to the Heat. Of course everyone knows about the second round lashing from last year. The series could have been close if Rondo was healthy, but as it was Rondo wasn't,and the Celtics looked like the younger team, and the Heat looked like they been together for 4 years. The Celtics also won the first three games last season against the Heat, and the year before the Celtics beat the Heat in the 2010 playoffs.
Keys of the game
Rondo, and Rondo, and some more Rondo. The Heat don't have anyone to stick with Rondo. Unless they move James,or Wade on him. If the Heat do that. Rondo will need to take them off the dribble,or put that new jumper to the test. I'm also hoping that Bass has another breakout game. If we can get the same production out of him like he did in the Knicks game then the Celtics have a shot. Sasha, and Daniels need to control James as much as possible. Melo went off on them on Sunday, and I fear for their lives tonight with James.
Game notes
It looks like Pierce will sit out again. Not an ideal way to start the short season.
Rondo averaged 10.0 points with 7.6 assists during the series, playing the final two-plus games with a dislocated left elbow. Look for him to do much better tonight, and want to prove to himself.

I hate Miami. They've been fortunate in that none of their stars have been injured for a lengthy period of time. While my faith won't allow me to wish for anybody to be hurt, injuries are a part of this business. It would just be nice if we could stay healthy and the other teams get really banged up for a change.
As far as tonight goes, I'm not holding my breath. The only thing we can hope for is that Miami thinks they own us now and take us lightly, and that Miami is on a low after drubbing Dallas on Sunday. That, and hopefully we're pissed about blowing yet another double-digit 4th quarter lead.
