Pierce finds shooting touch against the Lakers
|
|

Paul has been searching for his shot like Indiana Jones searching for the holy grail in the last crusade. Indiana saved his dad, and Paul Pierce saved his team with an early attack on the Lakers, and with big three in the third quarter to put the Lakers in the ground. Pierce was 10-of-17 from the field for 24 points in 30 minutes of work. He was able to enjoy the 4th quarter on the bench. I think it was key for Paul to go at it early. He was effective with the elbow jumper that he's made a career of.
Paul has been the jack of all trades these days with Rondo sidelined for the season. Pierce's 6 assists have been an after thought in the win over the Lakers, but Pierce has been keeping the Celtics going. This was a must win for any Celtics fan. Paul wanted to beat the Lakers as much as you, and I wanted the win. It was in his face, and in his eyes. Paul won't have many games against the Lakers, and he made the best of one of his last games against his hometown team.

In the last games with Rondo he was shooting 32%, which is a good baseball hitting average.
Too bad he's playing basketball, or let's say he's supposed to play basketball.

Nice, too, that he didn't bobble the ball out of bounds to lose us the game.
Same can go for him actually hitting 3pt shots now lol.
