What are Celtic fans thinking: Wilcox/Darko

Right now the Celtics are figuring out the kinks with their lineup. Right now a few doors are open because of injuries. Wilcox would be far, and away the choice coming off the bench over Darko. But with Wilcox having back issues. The door is open for the starting big along side KG in the starting unit. So I scanned the Celtic sites, and this is what the masses are saying.
Danny getting Darko seems like a great move now given Wilcox being banged up. I like Wilcox's athleticism and he's a guy who for his career has proven if he gets mins he can rebound. But this injury is probably going to knock him out of the rotation to start the season. Darko and Sully playing so well and Green being able to play some 4 means not many mins left over for Wilcox. Just get healthy because in a long season guys will go down and at some point you will be needed.
Wilcox won't get to lost in the shuffle, but you never know how things work out. Wilcox is an amazing scorer off the bench, and with great chemistry running up and down the court with Rondo. We can't forget that. When the time comes, Wilcox will probably get more playing time. He's just to good.
Gotta feel bad for the guy. Just when you think he's fully recovered from his heart surgery, his back becomes an issue. Stay strong, Chris! The Beantown Brawlers need you with them to beat down on opposing frontcourts.
I'm sure Chris is upset, and itching to hit the court with the guys. He needs to work very hard to play over the other bigs that have been playing great basketball.
Here's a back and forth on ESPN Boston between two fans about Darko.
Darko's not a good basketball player, and he doesn't care to get better, that's pretty much the long and short of it. He won't have a late career renaissance or suddenly blossom into even an average player, he is what he is.
Things should at least be able to work out as well as with Ryan Hollins, he'll be end of bench depth that can eat some minutes in the regular season, but shouldn't see one meaningful one. I think the locker room is strong enough to handle him, though I didn't really see the need to add a risk for someone with Hollins' ability. As long as people have no expectations, things will be fine. I don't get the feeling that's the case though, I keep hearing stuff like potentially starting him at the five, hell, someone just compared him to the defensive player of the year.

Have you been watching him in preseason or looking at his numbers? Looks damn good to me plus it's not fans saying he may start it's Doc who threw that out to reporters so not only is he playing well in games but in practice to warrant that kind of praise from Doc. And I said poor man's Chandler never said he'd be a defensive player of the year but Chandler didn't become that until his 11th year in the league and his 5th NBA Team.
I agree with Flagbig2dunny, and Darko has proven he's way better than Ryan Hollins. That's a bad comparison first of all. I think the negativity will surround Darko for awhile. His play will do the talking. Doc has a knack for finding roles for certain players. Darko seems to fit that Doc Rivers mold.
