Ray has made Ainge the good guy
|

Before Ray decided to walk away from the Celtics. You could take a pick of why Ray may leave. It could have been playing time, or a starting role, and maybe it could have been his issue with Rondo. But it always came back to Ainge. Ray seemed hurt by the trade attempts from the past three years. Basically since the Celtics lost to the Magic in 2009. It seemed like Ray was just messing around with the Heat, and at the end of the day. It seemed like Ray would return to the Celtics.
It seemed like Danny was saying sorry, when he offered Ray a no trade clause. That should have been enough for Ray to say. Okay Danny, I forgive you, and lets move on, and let me retire as a Celtic. But now Ainge looks like the good guy, and he backed off blowing up the core four, and he played it smart for the past year. Ray looks like the ass, and the ego driven diva. Ainge spoke about the roster spot to fill after Ray's departure.
But Danny Ainge said Saturday he would not comment on the departure of Ray Allen to the Miami Heat until the league's moratorium on signing free agents ends July 11.
"Obviously we need to fill the void, we need another shooting guard, of course," he said. "There are a lot of good players left. We're limited to what we can do with the biannual exception we need to wait and see."
"We have been in contact with the whole list of guys you would look at," Ainge said. "I don't want to mention names but we have been in contact with them. We'll continue to find the best player we can."
Can't wait to see the next move by Ainge.

Ainge did his best, and the issues, and ego were too much for Ray. Ainge has a plan, is it great who knows?
Sadly, I think Allen got taken in by the Master Manipulator, Pat Riley.

Your right, and why couldn't Ray see right through that? Also Ainge had turned some kind of corner.

I think it's a mid-life crisis, honestly. It's awful hard to see straight when you are in the midst of that kind of thing.
I saw that Ray wants to go into politics when his playing days are over. What we know about politicians is that they are careful to cultivate a public persona, make everyone like them, but behind the scenes be ruthless and have a lot of skeletons in the closet.
This is the only post or reply that I will make on Ray. If he did do this to "stick it" to the Celts, then every word spent on it just means he won. I say let's move on and not give him the satisfaction of thinking he upset us.
