KG one of the best rebounders of all-time
|
|

KG in his prime grabbed rebounds like the cure for cancer was in the basketball. How does KG rank among the greatest in the NBA? Garnett ranks 16th all-time in total rebounds(12,819),and he should come close to the top ten if he plays at least two more seasons. He has more than his rival Tim Duncan, and I believe he's been the best rebounder in his generation. From his MVP season 2003-04,and all the way up to his last season with the T'Wolves in 2006-07 KG won the rebounding title four years in a row.
I think if you want to go by total rebounding numbers you must look at KG,and his recent injury problems. His lack of games played, and his minute restriction. KG hasn't had monster rebounding games in Boston, but like I said his minutes are down, and the injuries he's faced.
Don't forget about Dave Cowens. He had 10,444 rebounds in only 766 games. KG has played in 1195 games. Cowens walked away from the game early. His career average 13.6 rebounds a game, and he had six seasons over the 1,000 rebound total mark in a season.
Russell owns the Rebounding list, and his numbers along with Wilt will never be touched.
