I wanted to go outside and scream from the top of my lungs after this one. I wanted this one so much. The Celtics hung around in this one, and they played hard once again. The Celtics held a two-point lead at halftime, and they survived a late double digit lead by the Warriors in the 4th. The Celtics tied the game 97-97 off Jeff Green's layup. With around 11 seconds to go, the Warriors allowed Curry to pick his shot, and he did, nailing a shot over Hump with 2.1 seconds to go. The Celtics had more chance, and with 2.1 seconds, Wallace got a three to win. He missed, giving the Celtics their 7th loss in a row, and the Warriors win 99-97.
This was heartbreaking, and not easy to take.Jeff Green finished with 24 points, and the Celtics saw Sully return to form with 21 points and 11 rebounds. When nothing was going right for the Celtics tonight, out of nowhere Hump scored the ball, or grabbed a big board. Kris Humphries finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds. AB did a wonderful job on Curry tonight, until the last play, when he was unable to fight under the screen, leaving Hump on Curry on the last shot. Curry finished with 19 points, off of 7-of-18 shooting. Andre Iguodala was the Celtic killer tonight, just when the Celtics got something going. Iggy would get a big basket.
I love the effort, and honestly I can't wait for them to come home from this trip. Despite the losses, I feel this team has learned something out West.
