Stevens not happy with his team, after beatdown in Denver

Posted by shawn cassidy on January 8, 2014 at 1:15 AM

Brad Stevens has had many ups, and downs during the course of his rookie season. The Celtics started off 0-4, then rallied nicely with 4 wins to pull even on the season. The Celtics would then lose 6 in a row improving to 4-10. The Celtics found something soon after the 4-10 start, maybe it was home cooking, or an easy schedule. The Celtics would go 8-4 in their next 12 games to improve to 12-14. The Celtics since then have gone 1-8.

After the Celtics 129-98 loss in Denver. Brad Stevens didn't speak about this game in a moral victory kind of way.

Stevens to reporters: "Listen, I don't think we played hard enough." Singled out pick and roll defense.

The stats don't make sense, the Celtics forced Denver into 21 turnovers, and the Celtics got 8 more shots then Denver because of it. Oh, wait, the Celtics lost this game because Denver nailed 14 three-pointers. Sorry for the sarcasm, but it was a rough loss.

Exactly. This team is in tank mode. I'm not saying they won't pull out of it, but it's tank time now. The Bayless trade showed that Danny has given up on the season. I don't blame him either. This losing streak has been definitive. Doesn't mean the team won't come storming back, though. We'll see.

People relax! The teams played up and down all year, now that rondos return has slowed down theyre getting bored waiting, thats why theyve played well when they have, expecting him back to start the season officially

Glad he said it. It's the truth.
