The Pierce and Garnett era kicked off Wednesday night, and the old C's couldn't come up with a win in Cleveland. The big story was the surprise return of Andrew Bynum. The Nets forged a comeback, and Pierce nailed a three, and KG threw a clutch pass to Brook Lopez to tie the game at 91 apiece.
Varejo hit the free throw jumper to give the Cavs a two point lead. On the Nets next possession, Paul Pierce missed the game knotting basket. The Cavs would go on and win 98-94, and this proves that the Cavs are legit.
KG finished with 8 points, 10 boards behind 26 minutes of work. Pierce had 17 points while playing 30 minutes.
