Stay optimistic, even if the Celtics have faced a few set backs in the early going. There are many stages we go through in a NBA season, and during a coaching change, with a rebuild in the process, we still manage to get back on track. All good things are possible in time, with patience.
Not too many teams have accomplished anything of great significances in one NBA season after a major overhaul.
There has to be a plan, and we know Danny Ainge is establishing that. A new routine takes time, but it can lead
to many big opportunities down the road. At this point it is what it is. Rondo is out, and the learning has begun. Your all adults, you know how hard it is to rebuild something.
Maybe it's my nature to be optimistic, or maybe I'm being naive, or perhaps I'm just not dealing with the fact that the Celtics are at the bottom in the NBA. Danny Ainge loves the big deals, and he's never not working something. He worries me at times, not because I don't think he'll do his job. I worry about Rondo's tenure in Boston. But my gut tells me that Rondo will be here on another discounted contract when it's all said and done.
There are three things that keep me going. Brad Stevens is one of them, and Rondo is another. Danny Ainge's track record has proven to be questionable. But, one thing he is? He's consistent of is his want to win championships, and to carry on this teams championship legacy. I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid, but at this point. I'm going to turn off my over thinking mind. The reality is that nobody can see into the future. We can guess the future. For example, Ainge has a history for the big trades, so when an analyst says they believe the Celtics will trade Rondo. Should we not respect that thought? What I don't respect is when they say the Celtics should trade Rondo. What value will get back that will really help the future. Please tell me?
I won't get into the details of why I don't respect the trade Rondo argument. We've covered it enough here already, and someone else was a broken record on the matter. So, let me clear my mind of all the negative vibes surrounding this season. Because honestly, win or lose. I love this franchise, and I love what the future holds.
