I know guys. The Celtics probably aren't looking into moves like this. Call me a hater of a rebuild. But why shouldn't the Celtics want to improve in the now with Rondo. What's the saying crap or get off the? If you want Rondo, you can't waste much time with a full blown rebuilding. So how about David Lee? I personally love this guy. On the side I'm a Warriors fan, so I watch a lot of their games when I can. Who wouldn't want a guy like this. What the hell the Golden State? If you don't want him I'll take him on the Celtics. David Lee showed a lot of heart during the playoffs. He wasn't supposed to play at all with a tear in his hip, but he did it anyway. Lee is one of the best rebounders in the game. He's also an All-Star. Lee is 30 years old, and he has three years left on his deal. The question is if Danny wants to bring in the three year contract.
"The Golden State Warriors are exploring trade opportunities for All-Star forward David Lee and the three years, $44 million left on his contract, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. Lee, 30, is a popular and well-respected player within the Golden State franchise but his contract is considerable, and moving him for a star – or a player on a shorter deal – makes financial sense for the franchise. Yahoo! Sports"
It's been rumored the Warriors want to get in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes. So moving Lee is likely a must if talks become serious. So how can the Celtics pull this off? The Celtics really don't have much to offer in expiring deals unless we do this with Kris Humphries. He has one year remaining on his deal. ESPN Trade Machine
That would be enough to deal for Lee for Humphries straight up. Plus maybe the Celtics can throw in something to sweeten the deal. The Celtics have lost a great big in KG. Lee is no KG, but he's one of the best big men in the game, and underrated. If were serious about Rondo this deal should explored at least.
