Breaking: Doc to the Clippers for a 2015 unprotected 1st Round Pick

That's a wrap on the Doc era in Boston, unless all mighty Stern says no. Which I doubt he does. I'll have my thoughts later in the night.

Clippers, Celtics are agreeing upon a 2015 unprotected first-round pick, league source tells Y! Rivers, Clippers still finalizing contract.

Another update. I'll keep this going until or if we get the word that this deal is done. Which it seems like it is very close. The closest it's been at least.

What a damn loser. Rondo is better off without you destroying his career.

Freaking knew this would happen. I hope KG and Pierce stay anyway. Doc and Ray Allen can start texting each other. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ray opt out and go to La.

I can't stop thinking about last year rumors about the Rondo-Paul deal.
We couldn't get Paul (and I'm VERY happy about that) , so now it's Doc who's going to LA?
I'm pretty mad about this right now.

I love it. The coach who seemed to be wrecking Rondo's career is going to coach the coach-killing point guard! It should be a marriage made in hell!

I sure hope KG stays. Pierce? He's going to have to do some soul searching. Paul, are you really really ready to let Rondo take the lead? No more waiting for him to foul up so you can be the hero again. Can you do that? Can you learn to play with Rondo more? You two can be magic together.

I guarantee it, Morena, that there was something between Doc and Rondo before/after the Clippers game last year, and maybe even some kind of communication with an eye to the future between Doc (and maybe others) and Chris Paul.
