Rondo will embark on his toughest off season, and maybe his most important in his career.Without a doubt Doc and Rondo have a good relationship. I hope with Doc's pending return that him and Rondo build on their relationship.
"I pretty much know what he's going to say. I've been playing for him for seven years, and we've pretty much always been on the same page, especially now... Each year we're growing, we're communicating better, learning each other more and more each year." Rondo also said of Rivers, "I wouldn't rather play for any other coach."
"I still am. It's not that I'm hard to coach, it's just that I may challenge what you say. I know the game myself, I'm out there playing the game. So I may have saw something different versus what you saw from the sideline. I'm going to be respectable. I'm going to let the coach talk."
I do hope Rondo challenges Doc. He needs to do that. Especially if he returns. They need to rethink the offense that's been flat for the past couple of years.
