It's been an odd season overall, and it hasn't been the storybook ending that we all had hoped for. With the Celtics out early in the 2013 playoffs. I have looked to my second favorite team. I haven't always loved the Golden State Warriors like I have loved the Celtics. It started in 2007. The Warriors were a scrappy bunch that barley made it into the playoffs. They made it in with their last win that improved their record to 42-40. The Warriors shocked the world with a first round series victory over the top seed in the West the Mavs who won 67 games in 2007.
The Warriors became Americas sweethearts for the 2007 playoffs. Since that crazy run I have been a fan of the franchise. I also lived in Northern California at the time, and it was a special time. The Celtics just put together one of their worst seasons in 2007. It was a tough time, and the Warriors provide relief that season.
With the Celtics out in the first round the Warriors have provide that same relief once again. Right now the Warriors are two games away from the Western Conference Finals. They have shocked the world so far, and they have that scrapping mentality that KG talked about against the Knicks. I've been to the Oracle, and I've seen Celtic games in that arena. I was there in 2008 when Baron Davis beat the Celtics at the buzzer. The fans are legit. I have also met many fans that like both teams just like myself. It's been an odd season for myself with the Celtics injuries and the early exit, but thankfully for myself I have found something to cheer for in the 2013 playoffs.
