It took me awhile after the game to settle myself down. I was the crazy neighbor screaming for two hours straight. This game without question had my emotions all over the place more then any game this season. I won't get into Paul Pierce's 4-of-18 game. The real story had to be the Celtics down 26 with 9 minutes to go. They scored 20 points in a row, all sparked by the future of this team Avery Bradley, and Jeff Green. The Celtics got within 4 points twice, but I think a big foul call called on Bass that wasn't a foul ended the Celtics amazing run. I think the Celtics should have won this game, but they shouldn't have as well. I think the run was the Knicks taking the foot of the gas, and the Celtics using every last ounce of grit left.
I'll have more on the season, and series, and more today, tomorrow, and for the next few weeks. The Celtics fought until the very end, and that's all I wanted was a fight, and they did just that. The Celtics played poor for almost three full quarters, and they dug themselves that hole. But now we can focus on the future. Which is still unclear with Pierce, and KG able to walk away. Pierce through free agency, and KG through retirement. Rondo's team next season will have a more seasoned Green, and Bradley, and the return of Sully. GO CELTICS!
