The Celtics ended the game on a 21-6 run. They trailed by 14 at one point in the 4th quarter, and all hope seemed lost for awhile. The Celtics had control of this game early with a 12 point lead, and in Celtics fashion they lost the lead, and fell down by double digits themselves. In the final 2.1 seconds Jeff Green got the ball and he busted to the basket like a guy who wanted this win more then anything. They needed this game, and the young guys needed this streak to end.
Jeff Green scored 21 points, and his 4th quarter performance helped carried the Celtics during the 21-6 run. Brandon Bass scored a season-high 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while Paul Pierce capped off the night with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. The Celtics were beat on the glass again 46-37. Doc did some experimenting when he started Wilcox tonight. He played 21 minutes, and he added 6 points, and 6 boards. As for the other bigs. Randolph had a 9 minute stint. He was active with 3 points,2 rebounds, 2 steals. Crawford was the high man off the bench with 12 points. Paul Pierce had another high turnover game with 7 tonight, as for the team they just had 15.
Not the best win, but it's a win.
