Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Green, and the second unit continue to excel

Jeff Green  was key  for the bench effort by scoring a team-high 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting to go along with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. Terry added 12 points and seven assists, while Jordan Crawford chipped in 12 points and three assists.Wilcox was solid as well with 7 points, and 5 boards in 12 minutes.  Jeff Green continues to hit the ground running with the Celtics right now.

"The bench has a huge responsibility for this team," said Terry. "As we go, sometimes, that's the way the team goes. We have to come in and do our job every night; when we don't, we're going to look like how it did [in Charlotte]."

"We were definitely frustrated and upset with ourselves after the [Charlotte] game," said Courtney Lee. "But we knew we had another game the next day that we could get and we just switched our focus on that."

"[Green] wants to be McDonald's," said Rivers. "You know what you're getting every time. Same quality, every single time. Fries are always good."

"It's always fun to see everybody else touch the ball, see the ball movement and to be able to get out in transition," said Terry. "Get some highlight-type plays, that's fun basketball."

Jordan Crawford is Nate Robinson. But very different at the same time. Crawford has some off the wall moves. Do I think he's better than Barbosa? Not going to say that yet, but he's doing a fine job. Green has become that guy that the Celtics need almost every night. Jeff sets the Celtics apart, and a deep run in the playoffs rests on Green. The bench put up 53 points against the Raptors, and I know it was just the Raptors, but the night before it was just the Bobcats, and the Celtics lost. The Celtics collective depth is what sets them apart.

Nice shot at Rondo by Terry. I despise that guy, and his little side-kick...
