"IN RONDO WE TRUST"

Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Celtics Chase Cats, 100-89

Posted by paul on January 14, 2013 at 10:00 PM

The Celtics, read by a monster Rondo first quarter, hit the Bobcats hard in the first quarter, and seemed to be on their way to a romp.  The Bobcats weren't in agreement with that idea, and fought back hard.   I guess this was no suprise, since they've been playing well lately.  They kept the Cs from turning the game into a blowout, and they even managed to come within two points.

Rondo was flirting with a triple double by the end of the first quarter.  He slowed down after that, but came through when needed to keep the game in hand.  I guess he was sick of hearing about how he was just a role player now!  Bradley had a Russell style block early in the game, where he not only blocked the shot, but directed the ball to Rondo to start the fast break.  Bradley had two blocks on the night.  Pierce had a great game, with six assists to go with 19 points.  Everyone had a good game, which seems to be the way the Celtics play now!

Charlotte's points in the paint was 34, Shawn!

Good win.  Nice to see brilliant Rondo lighting up the court again!  Nice to see the team continuing to play well together, everyone contributing.

Rondo knows when to show up, and tonight he waxed the Bob Kittens. Green, and the bench played well again.

C'slife, I too thought the bench played well, even if their numbers weren't as great as they could have been. Sully in particular did a great job playing through foul trouble, I think.

I knew it would! Rondo's defense seemed to get wobbly at times. He still picks his spots too much, in a way.
