Celtics Title Town

In the back of mind I thought Pierce had another three left for a Celtics comeback. Paul has been a clutch player, and he was a three-point play away from changing the game entirely. The three-point play I'm talking about was the potential AND1 that Paul missed. The Celtics were down 95-92. Paul made the move, and he was clear to the lay the ball in. It was a move, and basket that Pierce has made over, and over again. But for whatever reason the ball rimmed out.

Pierce went to the line, and he missed the freebie. He made the second, and the Celtics were down two with more than enough time for a stop on the other end, and a chance to tie, or win the game. Paul was called for a silly foul, and maybe he was confused, but he made a crucial mistake. Pierce tried towards the end with a big three that pulled the Celtics within one point. It wasn't enough, but Pierce always has something up his sleeve regardless of what mistakes he makes. I still can't get over Pierce nailing the tree-point bomb over James in-game five against the Heat. Johnson of the Nets feared the worst. 

“Did you see Paul Pierce hit that pull-up 3-pointer (with 24 seconds left to get them within two)?” Johnson asked reporters. “I had in my mind that he was probably gonna do it again, so I played the foul game. It’s a coaching decision. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.”
