Lakers News: Spurs top Lakers in LA 84-82

The Lakers two game winning steak has been snapped. They beat two weak teams in LA, and when tested against a good team once again the Lakers lose to the best team in the West. The Spurs improve to 7-1 on the season, and yet again the Spurs are playing the best in the league. The Lakers of course were without Nash, who's out of the next three-four weeks.

When you look at the final score 84-82 you know when D'Antoni takes over that score won't make him happy. Kobe had 28 points, and the rest of the Lakers shot pretty poorly. Gasol continues to go down hill with a poor game with 10 points. Ron Artest was 4-of-14 from the field, and I'd take that every night if were the Spurs. Howard was bugged all night. He had 6 turnovers in 41 minutes, and he only put in 13 points, but he did grab 15 boards.
The Lakers have a lot to do, and D'Antoni will get his chance starting this Friday.
