Kobe, and Dwight scored 63 points combined Wednesday night against Portland in Portland. The Lakers drop their second game in a row. So what are some early observations? Well, I said before the season started. And I think it will be the Lakers downfall. Kobe played 38 minutes, and Gasol 40 minutes. Howard played 41, and that's not a big issue since he's a young man. But Kobe, and Gasol played over the summer, and If Mike Brown plays them like this all year, than the Lakers will have some wheels fall off.
The Lakers had 24 turnovers against Portland. Coach Mike Brown is not the right coach for the Lakers, and that's another handicap. And what about Howard's 3-of-14 foul shooting from the Dallas game?
"I would let him work through it," Brown said. "Obviously, there might be a point and time if we felt we were going to win or lose, I might make a change, but I think it would be great. I hope they do do that because it will help us as a team prepare for later on. It will help Dwight prepare for later on if we're in a playoff series and somebody starts to Hack-a-Dwight."
I am not surprised about the Lakers troubles.
