Doc Rivers went into tonight's game with a left beaker at his side, and his microscope on his right. Doc used a different starting lineup once again with Bass, and Green starting with the Big three. Doc used Paul as the two guard, and Green at the three. The Celtics stayed in the game for the most part, and they started the game with a 12-3 lead over the 76ers. After that the 76ers seemed to have the game in their back pocket. The 76ers played back, and forth basketball all the way to the 4th quarter. Doc used the 3rd string, and Sullinger in the 4th, and the game was coincided.
Green dazzled the Boston crowd with a couple of dunks, and great play. Jeff Green (12 points, 10 rebounds, 4 blocks), and those blocks, and rebounds were awesome. You want that from him. Rondo was equally good with 12 points, 10 assists. Here's the rundown of team stats.
Who won the rebounding war? The Celtics won 38-37. The Celtics had another 20 turnover game with Pierce leading the way with 5 turnovers. The Celtics held the 76ers to 41% shooting which is what the Celtics want. Pierce cooled off Sunday night with 8 points off of 3-of 12 shooting. This game reminded me of the last day of the work week, or for the younger crowd your last day of school. They went through the motions.
