Rondo dishes on his place among NBA point guards: “In some areas some guys might be better than me, but overall, if you lay it all out, I think I am the best.”
In Rondo we trust, and your the overall pound for pound best point guard in the league. Rose is out, and who's that leave? Westbrook who should be labeled as a shooting guard, and it leaves Deron Williams who's been a cancer before. Then of course their is Chris Paul. To me Rondo will overtake him this season in a lot of peoples mind. I believe he's better for the simple fact that Rondo has loads of playoff success. Rondo carried the Celtics to the Finals in 2010, and he almost pulled it off again last season. I feel like a broken record, but I don't care. Rondo will prove he's the best in the league at his position.
Rondo on the pressure for the Celtics to succeed: “The Celtics and their fans don’t just want X number of wins and playoffs,” he says. “We all want championships… and the banners prove that.” The pressure seems not to faze him. “For me it’s a good thing. There is a lot more pressure in Boston to win than there is almost anywhere else. I love it. I feed off of it.”
Rondo does feed off pressure, and that's why he's the best right? Rajon's era is here, and it's a good time to be a Celtics fan, and when has it not for the past five years.
